Honoring the legacy of America’s fallen and disable service members
Today – is Memorial Day – and I want to take this moment in order to honor our service men and women who have given the ultimate sacrifice so that you and I may live in freedom in the greatest country in the world. Perhaps you have walked among the graves at Arlington National Cemetery or even a Veterans Cemetery in your area and felt the emotion and thankfulness for men (and women) we will never meet. Yet, each one of them gave up their life so that you and I may live like we do. Today, on Memorial Day, as you spend time with your family and friends – I hope you will consider helping us honor the legacy of America’s fallen and disabled service members through the Folds of Honor.
What you might not know is that Folds of Honor not only helps the children of the fallen and disabled but also helps their spouses with scholarships. Thousands of scholarships are helping the spouses retrain or upgrade their skills so that they can support their families.
Every month here in 2021, I am dedicating one day to playing a 100-hole golf marathon at different golf courses across the country. I recently completed the fifth marathon and I’m looking forward to my next one on June 23rd at Carolina Trace Country Club in Sanford, North Carolina. I would like to ask you to go to www.kernsgolfmarathon.com and support this initiative. If you don’t mind taking a minute to:
- Pledge a donation for every hole I complete, or
- Make a single donation of any amount, and
- Spread the word to family, friends and colleagues
Help us honor America’s fallen and disabled service members!
Have a great Memorial Day Holiday!! May God Bless The United States of America!
